Reiki for Back Pain
This is a testimonial of how Reiki has given me a new lease with Chronic Back problems.  I have suffered with back pain for more than 20 years. I have seen doctors, physiotherapist and chiropractors to no avail.  I have taken all kinds of treatments including acupuncture and of course all kinds of medications.  Some treatments gave me temporary relief.

In December 2003 I was having a particularly severe excruciating acute attack.  I went to see Janice Chin who gave me one treatment that cure me for two years. During that time I had thrown away all my back medications and other related medications. I was able to go around without being conscious of having a back. This was a new feeling for me since I was always aware that I had a back.  This may sound like a joke but for those of you who suffered the way I did will understand what I am saying about being in constant pain.

I highly recommend Reiki treatment for pain and in particular Janice since she was the one responsible for giving me the relief.

Psoriasis and Emotions
I remember having a Reiki treatment a few years ago and feeling so relaxed that I fell asleep. Somehow I failed to pursue it further and then a friend informed me that she had just completed a Reiki course and that she would recommend it highly to me, I suffer from severe psoriasis and she thought it would help.

I did not bother to go to the class she told me about but a couple of weeks later I suddenly felt an urgent need to study Reiki. I checked the internet and found a couple of Reiki Masters in the Caribbean and contacted them. Both responded promptly but some inner instinct advised me to go to the Natural Energy Centre, even though it was in Barbados and I live in Antigua.

Upon arriving at the Reiki Level 1 class I wondered if I was, in fact, doing the right thing. My other classmates were two young men and I wondered how they would feel learning with a middle aged woman. I don’t know why I let such a small thing give me cause for concern, we all got along famously and have since gone on to complete Reiki Level 2 together, in fact there is a feeling of a very special bond between the three of us.

My experiences in Reiki have been truly amazing, Master Janice Chin and James Worme are wonderful teachers whose subtle approach, all encompassing knowledge and love of Reiki comes through to even the most skeptical of students. They gently lead their students through a journey of discovery of self and of Reiki.

For me Reiki started to work immediately. By the second day of Reiki Level 1, there was a noticeable improvement in my skin and the patches of psoriasis were less inflamed and itchy. But not only did Reiki work on the outside, it worked on the inside too. I was suddenly able to see my life with a clarity I did not have before. I was able to face issues that perhaps I had not been acknowledging. I found that issues that I had subconsciously been ignoring were dealt with spontaneously, calmly and without fear for the future even though some decisions were life-changing.

I have been living my life since my completion of Reiki Levels 1 & 2, not just going through the motions. Issues that I would ordinarily have fretted over for days are now dealt with calmly and it is only afterwards that I realize what has happened and how effortlessly I have coped with them.

Reiki is now a part of my life, from the first class when I felt I was being given a most precious gift during one of my attunements and even more so after my Level 2 attunement. Allow me to share it with you.

Sitting quietly in a chair with my eyes closed I was aware of the presence of my Reiki Master whenever she came near. I was not aware of her in the physical sense, but I was aware of a powerfully brilliant white light surrounding me. As the attunement continued I saw the most amazing colours, dazzlingly bright blues, greens and pinks and violets that had never seen before and finally an extremely deep vibrant green in my head where I felt a very strong vibration, so strong that I thought I may be having a heart attack until I realized that the sensation was in my head and not my heart!

When my attunement was completed I almost felt afraid to open my eyes in case this wonderful feeling of peace would go away – it didn’t. Instead it has been with me ever since. I have continued to practice and to pursue my knowledge of Reiki. My rewards have been many, peace of mind, the ability to think with clarity and, in conjunction with medication, and the virtual disappearance of the psoriasis that covered over 30% of my body.

When I compare my journey of discovery of Reiki with others who took a different path I am profoundly thankful that my guides led me to Master Janice Chin and the Natural Energy Centre. My life has changed so positively that it is with a profound sense of gratitude that I thank Janice for this most precious of gifts.

Reiki for Emotional Release and Quantum Touch for Joint Misalignment
I was first introduced to Reiki and Quantum Touch with the suggestion of James Worme who made the offer that I have energy work done to get some insight into how the application of these therapies work. Quantum Touch and Reiki were first applied by James and Janice to assist me with a shoulder that was misaligned in proportion to my other shoulder (this being the result of an old injury that was never treated correctly).  

During this first treatment I found that my body parts and joints started to shift and move unconsciously. My body became relaxed to the point that I feel asleep while having the treatment administered.  This first session assisted me a great deal with the misalignment of my shoulder and to a big surprise the straightening of my spine.

I returned to NEC a few times for repeated sessions on that same shoulder, my knee, back, etc.  During one of these sessions Janice noticed that I had an allergy problem as a result of repeated sneezing and congestion.  I had explained to her that I was allergic to dust and suffered from hay fever.  As a result, Janice suggested that she treat me for the allergic reactions by targeting my emotions.

At first I was reluctant and a bit skeptical, but Janice assured me as we proceeded with the sessions that we were not conducting a "talk shop".  Throughout the emotional release sessions I was able to let go of a lot of emotional baggage that I had hung onto over the years of being mistreated and abused as a child. 

Thanks to Janice and James I was able to relieve myself of those past traumas.  I was able to be fully healed of a gambling addiction.  Through the release of low frequency energies I was able to begin the process of transforming myself into a 'new me'.

I would like to thank the Natural Energy Centre for assisting me in my development.  In time I will begin the process of learning what I can do to help others with Reiki, Quantum Touch and the other healing principles that NEC has to offer.
